This is fantastic

I am at work today (since I've come back to work after the boys I haven't been working on Fridays.  That part isn't so fantastic) and it's lunch time.  So I was stumbling are some things I found.

Want to find a color palette that you love?  This website lets you choose and color or theme and go from there!  So helpful.

Check out these super cute bunk bed "summer" rooms (oh, if only I could "summa" somewhere).  I see bunk beds in my future...but all year long.

I have always wanted a window seat...a place to curl up and read or knit or watch the birds and listen to the waves.

We have a small really.  It's small.'s the biggest I've ever had as an adult.  Same with the hubs.  I once lived in an apartment that was 300 square feet total.  I know to people in New York City (pronounced like I am the star of the Pace picante sauce commercial) that might seem gargantuan.  But we live on the coast of North Carolina.  Plenty of space to be had here.

And for the grand finale...this is a tape of a baby hearing his mother's voice for the first time with a cochlear implant...I know.  It's a kicker.

Happy Weekend everyone!

Seven months

Oh how time does fly...and all the other cliches you can think of.

Here they are in all their seven month babbling, teething, almost crawling, drooling, happy, smiling, giggling, squealing glory.

I loved this picture so much from an earlier "shoot"...I think I want to take one at every month. If only I had thought of it earlier.

The best

Mama Sashi's 70th Birthday

Our boys are super lucky to have two great grandma' of whom just turned 70. W & H are her 10th and 11th grand-children (I know...insane. The Perrys love having babies :)).

My sister-in-law wrote a FANTASTIC article about my mother-in-law. You can find it here.

Mama Sashi (her name is Sally) is a grandmother that any grandchild would want: caring, generous, and a little the best way ;).

This was our first big trip out of town and it went SO WELL WE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. We drove in the evenings so the boys would sleep and slipped them into bed when we reached our destination. It worked out so well. It also didn't hurt that that same sister-in-law (and the hub's brother and their four children) opened her house and made everything so convenient. We didn't even have to bring pack-and-plays! It was such a help and made traveling so easy.

Here are some pics from the day:

Mama Sashi and her boys and grandkids:

One of the gifts we gave her was "Seventy Things we Love about Sashi". Same sister-in-law organized that...yes, she is a superwoman.

The birthday girl!

Happy Birthday Mama Sashi!
