four months

It's hard to believe, but the boys are four months old!

It's such a cliche to say that the time has flown by. But it has...and it's also gone completely at a snail's pace too. We've been through so much with these boys and they're only four months old. Who knows what is in store for the future? But, I am so happy to say that I am so lucky I get to be present for it.

Today is also the first day of Camp (the place where the hubs and I met, became friends, fell in love, and, eventually, got married). We're taking the boys over to greet the first campers of the summer and to introduce the boys to the place that is the most special to their mom and dad. I really can't wait.

Here are a few things we've learned about the boys in the past 4 months...

They pretty much only cry when they're hungry or tired (turns out they're tired quite a bit).

They are not robots or the same baby (we always want them to eat the exact same amount at each feeding and as the other baby...it's taken us a while to learn this one...).

They are sweet and love to smile.

They love staring at mommy and papi.

Holt may be a thumb/finger sucker one day (once we stop swaddling them).

They LOVE to be swaddled and have a hard to going to sleep if they're not.

Holt is a cuddlebug.

Win would get up and walk away if he could.

Win looks like Win and Holt looks like Holt (finally!).

They like to go to bed between 5:30 and 6:30 (last night they went TWELVE HOURS between feedings...it was 5pm to 5am, but STILL).

They love to sit up and look around and only like to be held like "babies" when they're sleepy.

They really are the best things that have ever happened to us (except for each other).

  2. Oh they are so precious! And twelve hours?!? At four months!?! AWESOME! Wishing you so much joy on this incredible journey. It does fly by and crawl all that the same time!

  3. Unfortunately the twelve hours was just a fluke, haha. Here's hoping for a repeat one day.
